Privacy Policy

Degen Desk (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Degen Desk website at degendesk.xyz and the Degen Desk mobile app (together, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Account information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google so we can create and identify your account. We do not receive or store your Google password.
1.2 Chat history
Conversations you have with the Degen Desk AI agent are stored in our database (Google Firebase Firestore) and linked to your account so you can access them across devices. You can delete individual conversations at any time from within the app.
1.3 Subscription & payment information
If you subscribe to Degen Desk Pro, payments are processed by one of our payment providers depending on platform:
- Website: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- iOS app: payments are processed by Apple via In‑App Purchase, and entitlement state is managed by RevenueCat. Apple handles your payment information directly; we only receive a pseudonymous user ID, product identifier, and entitlement status.
We store your subscription status (active, canceled, past due) so the app knows whether to unlock Pro features.
1.4 Referral program data
If you participate in our referral program, we store your referral code, the users who signed up using your code, and the commissions earned, so we can pay you correctly.
1.5 Usage data
We collect basic diagnostic information such as error logs and crash reports to keep the Service running reliably. This data is not sold or shared with advertisers.
2. How we use your information
- To authenticate you and provide access to your account and chat history.
- To process and manage your subscription.
- To respond to support requests.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse.
- To improve the quality and safety of the Service.
Degen Desk does not sell your personal information. We do not use your chat history to train third‑party AI models.
3. Service providers we share data with
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the Service:
- Google Firebase — authentication and Firestore database hosting.
- Anthropic — the AI model that powers the Degen Desk agent. Your chat messages are sent to Anthropic’s API to generate responses.
- Stripe — web subscription billing.
- Apple — iOS in‑app purchase processing.
- RevenueCat — iOS subscription and entitlement management.
- Vercel — hosting for our website and serverless API.
Each provider only receives the information it needs to perform its function and is bound by its own privacy policy.
4. Market data
Degen Desk displays public market data (token prices, trending tokens, and similar information) from third‑party sources. This data is informational only and is not financial advice.
5. Your rights and choices
- Access and correction. You can view your profile information in the app at any time.
- Delete your account. To permanently delete your Degen Desk account and all associated data, email us at support@degendesk.xyz from the email address associated with your account. We will delete your account within 30 days.
- Cancel subscription. Web subscribers can cancel from the billing portal. iOS subscribers can cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Opt out of marketing. We do not currently send marketing emails. If that ever changes, every message will include an unsubscribe link.
6. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information from our production systems within 30 days. Backups are rotated within 90 days. Anonymized aggregate metrics may be retained longer.
7. Children
Degen Desk is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use industry‑standard safeguards including HTTPS/TLS in transit, encrypted database storage at rest, and least‑privilege access controls. No online service can be 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. Browser extension
The Degen Desk browser extension (Chrome / Chromium) is governed by this same Privacy Policy. It runs as a content script on web pages and is designed to read the minimum data needed to surface token information where you encounter it.
What the extension does:
- Detects 32–44 character base58 strings (Solana mints) and
0x-prefixed 40-hex strings (EVM addresses) in visible text and element attributes on pages you visit. - When you hover a detected address, the extension calls
https://degendesk.xyz/api/quick-checkwith that address to fetch live market data (powered by DexScreener). Only the address is sent — not the URL, page content, or any other context. - On token detail pages of supported dex sites and explorers (Pump.fun, Axiom, Bullx, Photon, Dexscreener, Solscan, Etherscan, Basescan, Bscscan), it injects a floating panel showing the same metrics. If the address cannot be resolved from the page, the extension may call DexScreener’s public search API (
api.dexscreener.com) with a token name extracted from the page title to find a matching address. - Stores a single boolean preference (panel collapsed or expanded) in
chrome.storage.local. No other data is persisted.
What the extension does NOT do:
- It does not read, store, or transmit any page content beyond contract-address strings you actively interact with.
- It does not track your browsing history, the pages you visit, or your activity on those pages.
- It does not read cookies, passwords, form data, or any authenticated content on websites.
- It does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- It does not sell or transfer user data to any third party.
You may uninstall the extension at any time from chrome://extensions. Uninstalling removes all
stored preferences immediately.
10. International users
Degen Desk is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be processed in the U.S. where data protection laws may differ from those of your country.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy here and update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
